I am a busy mom, wife, and substitute teacher. I wear many hats, including a Giro helmet. I've been competing in triathlons for 5 years, and love training outdoors with amazing friends. Competing has given me the confidence to push out of my comfort zone and take on events that I once thought were impossible to do. Last year I completed my first half ironman, and now I'm training for a full in November...wish me luck! I love the quote from Lance Armstrong, "Pain is temporary, but quitting is forever".
I had an exciting 2008 racing season. I won my age group in the Benbrook tri, Metroplex sprint tri, and was the Master's overall winner in the Monster tri. I ended up ranking 35Th in the USAT rankings. For the 2009 season I hope to improve my overall rankings, finish in the top 3 of all my sprint races, and finish my Ironman in 13 1/2 hours. So far for this year, I've won my age group in the Benbrook 5k, Master's overall in the Cleburne 5k, and 13Th in the Horse Country TT. I'm so lucky to be on an awesome triathlon team this year! I couldn't have asked for a better group of teammates! God is so good.....I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me!
